Health & Safety
When training with you and your dog, CDT takes reasonable steps to prevent risk or injuries, however training is open to uncontrollable determinants. CDT notes that participants take part in training at their own risk and will not hold CDT or its employees liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered due to participating in training or other service. CDT is not responsible for any injury, illness, ticks, bites, allergies or death. CDT also holds no liability when supervising training sessions and for training outside your session or service. By registering to participate in CDT sessions, you agree that you are fit and able to participate in the activity. In the event of an emergency with your dog, our staff reserve the right to take your dog to the nearest available vet, CDT is not liable for any vet costs.
Special Dispensation
Chevron Dog Training places health first and training second. If it is deemed that your dog is not fit for training, the appointment may be allowed once a veterinary assessment is completed. Where veterinary or emergency treatment is required, your package will be placed on hold (waiting lists may apply). Chevron Dog Training is not liable for any veterinary costs incurred whilst in our care; by registering your agreement, you acknowledge that you are your dog's owner and are responsible for all costs associated with your vet or a vet who may need to be engaged by our CDT team to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of your dog.
Service Fees & Travel
Chevron Dog Training primarily offers services to clients situated in Gerringong, Berry, Kiama, Jamberoo, Shellharbour and North Nowra as our usual place of business. A limited number of appointments and services are available outside these areas at the Head Trainer's discretion but cannot be guaranteed and may incur a travel fee per service. Service fees are not standardised and depend upon location, package duration, session duration and service and level of trainer required to address presenting issues in your dog, e.g. aggression.

The expertise of CDT staff informs recommended services and training sessions; it is strongly discouraged to alter these recommendations as it may cause significant disruption to training and could pose a risk to you, your dog and your pack.

Training requires consistency to counter condition problem behaviours, develop new pathways for dogs, improve owner skills, maintain effectiveness, and achieve the best results with CDT. ‘We can only control what we can control, not what others do’. Further training sessions may be required beyond the package recommendation, depending upon the environment, dog learning capacity and, more importantly, pack consistency.
Booking Deposit
To secure your time slot for a Training Package, you must deposit $150 to Chevron Dog Training via EFT. The $250 deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your Training Package. If you do not secure your Training Package slot within 48hrs, we cannot guarantee the availability prescribed in your quote. Please be quick, our services are in high demand!
Cancellation & Scheduling Policy
Consistency is critical in dog training. If you cannot attend a training session, the session will be replaced with a Trainer Walk. This will ensure consistency and practice time for your dog to achieve optimum results from training. In particular circumstances, you may request a rescheduled appointment; the concluding week of the package may be delayed depending upon availability. Rescheduling an appointment cannot be guaranteed due to the high demand for our services. If you cannot attend a session or would like to request a rescheduled appointment (at the Head Trainer's discretion), you must; Communicate with CDT staff with a minimum of 24 hours' notice; failure to do so will result in the loss of the session.
